Fancy a pot of jam?

I was at a friends house last night and he's just got hold of one of the latest offerings from england. Some jumped up little shit called James Brown who has a dvd out called "Still fancy a pot of jam."

I think there was some complaints about this guy on the gay cafe a little while ago but they still put out his dvd which contains lots of unoriginal magic. I am totally puzzled as to why this dvd has been put out.

Oh and the production quality is as good as the material taught - fucking shit.

I'm sure Mr Brown is a good entertainer and gets away with all sorts of shit but he's got nothing new or original to offer magicians.

Moving Violation by Sankey

I see Sankeys put out another trick with a hole. Not a shock since he sticks out half a dozen pieces of stinky shit onto the market every week.

I watched the demo, it looks hokey as fuck.

The best bit are the made up customer comments. You can tell they're made up. Thommy R claims "My girlfriend came home an hour after I started playing with it" - OK I presume the trick because it's unlikely she'd be floored by your complusive masturbation. But surely no one believes that any guy using Sankey products actually has a girlfriend?

Nothing by Max Maven.

If you're a mentalist and you can't work out how to put a show together using nothing but a few dollars worth of paper/pens/etc from Walmart then you deserve to have to waste $100 on learning how.

Of course if that's your profile then you won't be able to do any of Max's material because it needs some presentation skills so maybe it's best you always carry your tenyo mental epic and your case full of proppy shit by Becker and Earle.

The Prestige.

Found time in my busy schedule to go see "The Prestige."

I enjoyed it. It's historically inaccurate, you get to see a man squash a bird and Ricky "must be fucking desperate for work" Jay is in it.

Lots of magicians are complaining about the movie - get over it, if they'd made it more about magic no fucker would've wanted to go see it.
